Established in 1984, Plymouth Metrolink was the first transit system created under a state law allowing suburban cities to establish their own transit programs. Plymouth's goals were to improve local service and provide a link to the rest of the regional transit system. Our ridership has grown substantially every year since. In 2003, over 421,000 passenger trips were provided on our three types of service: Express buses to downtown Minneapolis, Reverse Commute service from Minneapolis to Plymouth, and Dial-A-Ride will-call service to local destinations.

Each day we strive to make riding Plymouth Metrolink as stress-free and convenient as possible. All our local service buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts to maximize system accessibility. We also participate in the regional Guaranteed Ride Home Program which can provide vouchers for a free bus ride or cab fare if you need emergency transportation home.

Plymouth Metrolink is operated by the City of Plymouth to serve residents and businesses in our area. Our community-oriented public transit services are designed with you in mind.
